Namitha hails from Surat, Gujarat, India.She won the Miss Surat crown in 1998 and participated in the Femina Miss India contest in 2001, taking fourth position in the contest.Following that Namitha did a number of commercials. She made her acting debut in the Telugu film Sontham although she became famous after the Tamil film Engal Anna.After a successful run in beauty pageants, Namitha Kapoor acted in several Tamil and Telugu movies since 2002Namitha Kapoor was born in Surat, Gujarat, India on 10th May 1981. She is a Punjabi and was christened Namita M Vankwala. She appeared in her first two Telugu movies with the screen name Bhairavi.
